The mechanics of hemodynamics
Scanning electron micrograph of a carotid thrombus. A 7--amino acid sequence of fibrinogen is shown to be required for the immune functions of fibrinogen, which is usually necessary for thrombus generation (page 1596). Once a thrombus has been removed, appropriate stent placement and curvature are critical (page 1607).
